Athletes of Purpose

Life after sport is the next championship

The Challenge

The post-career cliff

Most professional athletes leave their sport before 30, often without the network, capital, or career path their peers built over a decade. Research on NFL bankruptcy filings found financial distress reached roughly 15.7% of players within twelve years of retirement (Carlson et al., 2015), and the same pattern plays out across leagues.

Athletes of Purpose was built for this transition, offering career coaching, wealth-building education, and a community of operators who have already made the move themselves.

What we provide

Five interconnected pillars built around the athlete's transition into the next chapter.

01

Career Transition Coaching

Personal brand strategy, identity work, and second-career discovery led by athletes who have already made the transition.

02

Financial Literacy & Asset Management

Sophisticated income management, tax structuring, and protection planning tailored to the athlete earning curve.

03

Wealth Building & Investment

Direct access to vetted deal flow, founder networks, and the same wealth-building tools institutions use.

04

Entrepreneurship & Business Formation

From idea to founded company. Legal structures, capital strategy, and mentorship from active operators in the room.

05

Community Leadership & Mentorship

Athletes who have earned platforms learn to use them, mentoring the next generation of youth and athletes coming up behind them.

Where athletes give back

Athletes lead financial literacy and skills workshops with the next generation, modeling what comes after sport. The room sees a champion teaching, not just performing.

Direct mentorship between athletes and youth. Shared experience between people who have stood in the same rooms, faced the same questions, and chosen what to build next.

Each athlete reached creates ripple effects across their team, family, and community network. Influence compounds when it is invested back into the people coming up next.
