It happened

One day. Generational change.

On July 24, 2026, mothers and their children came together at Northern Trust in Chicago during WNBA All-Star Weekend to think, create, and lead with purpose. The All-Star Impact Innovation Summit and Venture Challenge ft. Grace House at St. Leonard's Ministries gave families the tools, the stage, and the question: how do we grow revenue, investment, and cultural capital for women's sports?

Students and their mothers worked side by side through hands-on workshops, research sessions, and live pitches. By design, it was a shared effort: students leading research and pitch development while their mothers brought mentorship, industry insight, and business strategy to the table. Teams presented real research on challenges facing their own communities — from gaps in mental health access for Black and Brown women athletes to resource shortfalls on Chicago's Southeast Side.

The day's centerpiece was the "Bet on Yourself" panel with Tiffany "Tip" Hayes, Mariah Cooks, Isis "Ice" Young, Jason Burns, and Bernie Kosar — an honest conversation on opportunity, equity, and what it takes to believe in yourself before anyone else does.
